The Plan International African Union Liaison & Pan Africa Program (@PlanAULiaison) has contracted Dr. Tristi Nichols (@tristiempo) to undertake a Baseline Survey for the African Children’s Charter Project: PHASE 2. The ACCP promotes the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACRWC) through the institutional, political and public arenas of the African Union and CSO engagement at various levels. The ACCP, originally intended to run for 4 years in 2011, was implemented for 7 years (includes a bridge period). Now, PHASE 2 requires a baseline survey. Dr. Nichols will be partnering with Mr. Girma Sileshi, a Child Rights Specialist based in Addis to undertake field data collection in mid August.
